Our Story
Savr started with a spreadsheet.
Our co-founder David was a student athlete on a tight budget, manually tracking grocery prices store by store just to figure out where his money went furthest. It worked, but it took hours every week.
What he found was that no store stayed cheapest for long. The winner changed week to week, list to list, and there was no way to know without doing the work yourself every single time. That’s what pulled together the team behind SAVR, people who wanted to build something Canadians could actually use, not another app that looks good and does nothing.
So we built one. SAVR compares prices on your grocery list across the stores you actually shop at, so nobody has to run a spreadsheet just to shop smart. Grocery prices keep climbing. We think knowing where to shop shouldn’t be this hard.

Click the dropdown on the left, or in chat, and tell the Assistant to add items to that list. You can also start a brand new conversation and ask for a list by name, and SAVR will pull it right up, so your grocery list is always easy to find.
Each item shown is Savr's top recommended pick, but it isn't the only option. Tap the dropdown next to any item to see other matches and pick the one that works best for you.
Savr totals your whole list across every store you're comparing and highlights the store with the lowest total, shown with a green Best tag, so you always know where to find the best grocery deals.
Shelf Price is what's on the price tag. Unit Price shows cost per 100g/100mL so you can compare different pack sizes fairly and get a true grocery price comparison. Toggle between them above your list total.
Tap the store icon to open the selector, then choose stores from the list or map view. You can compare prices across up to 5 stores at once. If you're at the limit, remove a store before adding a new one.
Tap Send Feedback in the sidebar and let us know what's off. We review these to keep matching accurate, so your grocery savings stay on point.
You can ask SAVR to reply in a different language anytime during a chat. For something more permanent, go to Profile & Account, where you can set your conversation language and your app interface language, meaning the buttons, menus, and screens throughout the app itself, separately from how the Assistant talks to you.
Right now, through your profile page. Visit your profile and set your dietary or brand preferences there.
Tapping Order takes you to checkout through Instacart or PC Express, depending on the store you're viewing, and carries your list over so you can complete the order on their site.
